Delivery Charges

All local parcels are sent via DB Schenker Privpak

DB Schenker Parcel is used for shipments to Denmark and Finland

Local (Sweden):

Parcels under 5kg: 59kr.

Parcels from 5 to 11,99 kg: 69kr.

Parcels from 12 to 19,99kg: 89kr

To Denmark and Finland:

Parcels from 0 to 3 kg: 260 SEK

Parcels from 3 to 7 kg: 352kr

Parcels from 7 to 12kg: 450 SEK

Parcels from 12 to 15kg: 492 SEK

Parcels from 15 to 30kg: 584 SEK

Order Confirmation

Once we have received your order, we will send an order confirmation to the e-mail address you provided. Please check this carefully, and contact us - stockholm@englishshop.se - if you have any queries. Always leave a mobile telephone number, on which you can be contacted by DB Schenker. You will receive the shipping details you need to pick your parcel up via SMS.  Goods are packed and shipped as soon as an order is received, so making changes to an order once it's been confirmed may not be possible. However, if you contact us we will do our best to help you!

Delivery

All our parcels are sent out by DB Schenker to their network of parcel service points. The Parcel Service Points are usually your local shop or petrol station.When the package has arrived you will be sent a notification by SMS. You can then collect your packet, but remember to take both your tracking number (SMS) and your ID card with you. You can also request notification of arrival via E-mail, however, this need to be stated at the time of ordering.

The maximum weight for our parcels is 20kg. If you want to order products that exceed that amount you will have to divide your order into several smaller orders.   Delivery usually takes approximately 2 to 4 days. Although we do our utmost to deliver on time, things can sometimes go wrong. If there are any delays in receiving your order, please contact us immediately so that we can investigate further. If you wish to cancel a delayed item, please contact us. However, The English Shop is not responsible for any delays in delivery or any consequences thereof. If it's important to receive your order by a certain date, please let us know.

If anything you have ordered and paid for is out of stock, we will refund your card immediately and contact you by email. If your goods have been damaged in any way, please let us know as soon as possible. You can also contact DB Schenker on their website

Uncollected Packages

Any packet that is not collected and is returned to us will incur a fee of 100kr. This covers the costs of transport for return of goods, and a handling fee. Payment terms are 30 days. If a reminder is sent for this charge, it will incur an additional fee of 50kr. Should this fee not be paid, it will incur interest of 24% per annum and any additional costs of collecting the monies owed. If you change your mind regarding your order once it has left us, you must pick up the package and send it back to us. If the package is not collected it will automatically be registered as uncollected and will incur the aforementioned 100kr fee.

Frozen Items

Since the items are frozen, they will defrost whilst in transit. We pack and send frozen items Mondays to Wednesdays, but unfortunately we cannot guarantee the condition of the goods when they arrive and therefore frozen items are ordered at the customer's own risk.

PAYMENT CONDITIONS

When you order at The English Shop Web Shop, you are accepting these Terms and Conditions. The agreement is established when your order is placed. By law, you must be over 18 to make a credit card payment on DIBS.

Sales and Promotions

Sale prices are valid while stock lasts, or until the date stated. The English Shop reserves the right to cancel a sale or promotion at any time.

Prices

All prices on The English Shop Web Shop are in SEK, and include VAT. Your order will also include all delivery and service charges.

Online payment - easy and safe

You are very welcome to pay by credit card, however we do not accept American Express or Diners. Payment is deducted directly from your account. The English Shop reserves the right to verify the validity of the card and that the amount can be billed. The English Shop also reserves the right to refuse purchase. When you pay by credit card, there is no fee. Card payments are handled by our payment partner DIBS to ensure fast and secure payment. Here's how to do it:

  1. Select Credit Card as your payment method at Checkout. You will then be linked to DIBSS secure payment server.
  2. Select the type of credit card, and then enter the card number, expiry date, card security code (CVV) and the name of the cardholder. Please note that when paying online you need at least two months' clear before the card expires.
  3. A check is carried out to ensure all of the information is correct and that there are sufficient funds in the account for the purchase.
  4. The total amount is then reserved in your account.
  5. When the goods are dispatched, the total is deducted from your account and transferred via DIBS to The English Shop.

Handelsbanken Invoice - pay in 14 days

When paying by Invoice, you are subject to a service charge of 29kr. If payment is not received by the date stated on the invoice, a reminder fee of 50kr will be added. Non-payment of invoices will be charged at 24% per annum, plus any fees for collecting monies that might be owed. To pay by invoice you must meet the following criteria:

  • You are over 18 years of age
  • You have a steady income of at least 120 000kr per annum
  • You have a clean credit history

To pay by invoice, select this payment option at Checkout. You will then be informed as to whether your request has been granted. If it is refused, you can go back and choose a different payment method. If your application to pay by invoice is accepted you will receive the invoice via email.

The invoice will be sent directly to you by Handelsbanken. You do not need to wait for an invoice from The English Shop. On our packing slips there is a payment number. You should NOT pay though your bank using this number if you have opted for Handelsbanken Invoice payment.

SECURITY & DATA PROTECTION

Ownership

All goods remain property of The English Shop until full payment has been received. The English Shop reserves the right to cancel an order if fraud is suspected.

Security of Payments

As a valued customer, we want you to feel secure when you shop online with us. We work with DIBS for all e-commerce transactions, and for direct payment through internet banking. Safey and security are the cornerstones of DIBS solutions, and DIBS is certified by both Swedish and foreign banks and credit card companies. All information regarding your payment is encrypted using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) when transferred to DIBS and your card details are not recorded or stored by The English Shop. Please note that you need permission from your parent/guardian to shop at the English Shop Webshop if you are under 18 years of age!

Privacy Act

Your personal information is protected by the Data Protection Act. This law is based on an EU directive from 1995 which increases the protection of individuals' privacy with respect to the increased number of records and compilations stored electronically. The English Shop is Data Controller regarding all personal information you provide to us, or that we may have access to when you purchase from us or visit our web site. The information will only be used for the purpose intended and to fulfil our commitments to you. To this end, we also need to be able to transfer this information to our partners. The information collected for the customer to make a purchase is used for this purpose only and will not be shared with any third party, except in connection with the order process. Only our shipping partners receive your address and delivery information. In practice this means that this type of information is outside our direct control. You also have the right to request a copy of the personal information held about you. If it is incorrect, incomplete or irrelevant, you can change the data or choose to have it deleted.

RETURNS AND EXCHANGE

Refunds and cancellations

We want you to be happy with the service we provide! If you have any complaints with your order when you receive it it's important to contact us immediately to discuss the best solution. Refunds

Refunds will be paid into a customer's account within 30 days. If you paid by credit card, we will send the money directly to your account as a credit.

Exchanges

We accept exchanges on most of our products. The product must be sent back undamaged and the return freight cost must be payed by the customer. We cannot for health and safety reasons accept an exchange on perishables.

Reservations

The English Shop reserves the right to remove products from sale at any time. It is not guaranteed that pictures accurately reflect the true appearance of a product. We also reserve the right regarding any typographical errors on the site, and the right to adjust any pricing errors that may occur.

Force Majeure / 'Acts of god'

The English Shop is exempt from penalty for failure to perform any obligation under this Agreement if such failure is due to a factor as described below, including: fire, flood, earthquake, storm, hurricane or other natural disaster, war, invasion, act of foreign enemies, hostilities (regardless of whether war is declared), civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power or confiscation, terrorist activities, nationalisation, government sanction, blockage, embargo, labor dispute, strike, lockout or interruption or failure of electricity or telephone service.

Return due to incorrect input of information

Should your package be returned to us due to incorrect input of your information (address, telephone number and E-mail address) then you will be held liable for payment of the products should the 'Best before date' be reached or past.
